A Bit About Me
|
I'm a professional freelance photographer living in San Diego. As a lifetime resident of this city, I'm very well-acquainted with all that my hometown has to offer. Having studied photography, telecommunications and film production in college, I got my start in this field doing commercial photography for local hotels and restaurants. In years to follow, I developed a particular interest for location stock photography after getting my first scenic photo published in a very prominent San Diego visitors publication. This trend continued as his work gained increasing exposure and praise from various sources (particularly in the tourist trade), and so it was that in 1990 that I formed my company, Artistic Visuals after recognizing a growing market for quality photos of San Diego. With a strong determination to build up a comprehensive collection of stock images, I began photographing all corners of the city - capturing its many popular highlights in addition to a wealth of less familiar but equally attractive areas. Having been an avid traveler for many years, I have also captured the scenic natural splendor of much of the western United States, as well as big city views in New Orleans, Dallas, Chicago, and Northern California Coastal / Inland including San Francisco. Areas covered outside of the USA include Vancouver, Kawai, Switzerland, Germany and Austria. Sample photos from many of these areas are represented on this site, and all are available to Artistic Visuals' customers.Most of my works appear regularly in numerous tourism guide publications, magazines, coffee table books, maps, brochures, postcards, calendars, audio/visual presentations, transit tickets, art display prints, billboard ads, trade show displays and websites. Artistic Visuals provides additional photographic services including commercial, location documentary, instructional/tutorial and special events coverage. .
